FAQ

Handpieces — frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a high-speed and a low-speed dental handpiece?

A high-speed air-rotor handpiece such as the HP-02 runs at 320,000–400,000 rpm and is used for cutting enamel, cavity preparation and sectioning crowns. A low-speed contra-angle such as the CA-20 runs up to 40,000 rpm and is used for caries removal in dentine, finishing, polishing, prophylaxis and endodontic preparation.

Are these handpieces compatible with my existing dental chair?

Yes. Both handpieces use the standard midwest 4-hole / 2-hole connection found on virtually all dental units, including the Tree Dental chairs we supply. Tell us your tubing type when ordering and we will supply the matching coupling.

Can the handpieces be autoclaved?

Both models are fully autoclavable at 135°C. Clean, lubricate and bag each handpiece before every sterilization cycle to protect the bearings and extend service life.

Do you provide warranty and servicing for dental handpieces in Nepal?

Yes. Serving Nation supplies handpieces with a manufacturer warranty and provides in-country servicing, bearing and cartridge replacement, and genuine spare parts across Nepal.
